Lone Star Credit Union - Dallas, TX
In light of the recent events in Dallas, our team wanted to show their support for the five fallen police officers, their families, and their communities. Outside the Dallas branch, blue ribbons were tied in front of our entrance and five American flags, one for each of the fallen officers, were placed next to our sign. Inside, employees were raising donations for the Assist the Officer Foundation.

Our team hosted several internal fundraisers over the last few weeks. On July 14th, employees who made a $5 donation and wore blue were able to wear jeans to the office (pictured above). On the 15th, our accounting department hosted a breakfast for a $1 donation per waffle. Our staff trainer, Alli Rodriguez, sold home baked cookies and hosted a spaghetti lunch. She also personally matched any donations she received.
We also encouraged Members to donate spare change at the Dallas branch, raising $205, and bringing our total donations to $640. We would like to thank our Members and our team, for being so generous and showing their support for the men and women in blue.
All donations from our Back the Blue fundraisers benefited the Assist the Officer Foundation, which helps local officers and their families in need of financial assistance and counseling services. If you would like to show your support, you can also make a donation anytime at atodallas.org.
