Lone Star Credit Union recognizes the value of education and supports the educational goals of our Members through our scholarship program. Through our partnership with the Greenville Independent School District, LSCU’s “Good Scholarship” was created in 2020 to reward two graduating seniors of Greenville High School with a $1,000 scholarship.

Lone Star Credit Union has teamed up with Carter Blood Care to host a community blood drive on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM (CST) at our Greenville Branch. 

Lone Star Credit Union is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Greenville ISD Hero of Hope program. The program recognizes the employees of GISD who take the extra step to make an authentic difference in students’ lives.

It’s amazing what dedicated teamwork can do. LSCU employees are “going casual for the kids” and participating in Miracle Jeans Day, a fundraiser benefiting Children's Medical Center in Dallas. Every Wednesday through September 13th, LSCU staff will donate $5 to the hospital in exchange for wearing jeans to work. Every dollar raised on this day will help us toward our goal of raising $2,000 and contribute to our collective goal of raising $350,000 nationwide.

Lone Star Credit Union (LSCU) won Best Credit Union in Terrell in the 2016 Terrell Tribune's Reader's Choice Awards.  Lone Star Credit Union was voted the winner by the Tribune Readers. This is the second, consecutive year LSCU won the "Terrell's Best" title.

This holiday season 1 in 4 North Texas kids is at risk of going hungry. Help us spread some good cheer in our communities by donating non-perishable food items at your nearest LSCU branch during normal business hours Monday - Friday, November 14 through December 16, 2016.  

On October 20, 2016, credit unions around the world will celebrate International Credit Union Day (ICU Day).

Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives, offering the same services as other financial institutions, but with a people-first philosophy. Since 1948, on the third Thursday of every October, credit unions have celebrated the principles that make credit unions the best financial partners of people all over the world.  “The authentic difference,” this year’s ICU Day theme, zeroes in on what makes credit unions different from banks, fintech startups and other financial institutions—our principles. 

Lone Star Credit Union - Dallas, TX

In light of the recent events in Dallas, our team wanted to show their support for the five fallen police officers, their families, and their communities. Outside the Dallas branch, blue ribbons were tied in front of our entrance and five American flags, one for each of the fallen officers, were placed next to our sign. Inside, employees were raising donations for the Assist the Officer Foundation.

Each year, Lone Star Credit Union participates in the annual Kaufman County Relay for Life. And every year, the passion behind our team’s fundraising continues to exceed expectations.
