This holiday season 1 in 4 North Texas kids is at risk of going hungry. Help us spread some good cheer in our communities by donating non-perishable food items at your nearest LSCU branch during normal business hours Monday - Friday, November 14 through December 16, 2016.

Hunger in Dallas and surrounding areas

There are nearly 1 million North Texans living in food-insecure households. Last year, the North Texas Food Bank provided more than 63 million meals, but today more than 92 million meals are needed annually to fill the need for food-assistance.

LSCU hopes to collect much-needed food items through its holiday food drive and help provide supplies to community food banks for next year's meals. Donations made at each branch will benefit their local food bank, : Dallas -North Texas Food Bank; Greenville - Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH); Terrell - Terrell Share Center

Some of the most-needed food items include:

  • Canned or Dried Beans
  • Canned Tuna or Chicken
